I would say that, for 1440p, the GTX 1080 Ti would be the best card to get. If you can get a few months warranty and are willing to change the thermal paste and the price is right go for it otherwise look for used AMD 5xxx or 6xxx series since ray tracing isnt a priority. I know this card is one of the best things that you can own. As the title ask I was just wondering if the gtx 1080 is still a good gaming gpu and how people who have used it/are currently using it feel about it. Imagine buying a 4090 now for $700 -- that's the sort of price/performance we got with the 1080 ti. I regret not getting the 1080 ti back then.
